The engGo team has been piecing together what we thought would be best for a teacher, schools and student centred website where networking and learning was possible on all levels.
The concept of engGo has been a work in progress since 2003 but actual development and scripting didn't start until shortly into 2007. While we wish we could have dedicated all our time to development, we didn't have an investors or start up capital and thus have had to work day jobs to pay for the development of engGo.
We officially launched the website on November 1, 2009.
Our goal is to make this a site that is full of valuable information that is easy to find. We want to ensure that English teacher have access to as much information and opportunities as possible. At the same time, we want to ensure the all schools, whether university programs looking for Deans of their departments or a pre-school program looking for a reading TA, we want everyone to feel comfortable and we want you to feel like this is a positive space for you to share, collaborate and source your next staff member no matter what position you are looking to fill. We are all united in education.
We hope this will provide teachers, schools, administrators, head teachers, publishers and a variety of other people and industries a valuable opportunity to network, to find jobs, to learn about new strategies and methodologies, to learn about events and much much more.
Thank you for coming to engGo - please contribute in whatever way you can to add more valuable information for people interested in ESL worldwide.
